Takumakai Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu
We study the art of Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu to deepen our understanding of the principles of Aiki. We are supervised by Kenneth Freeman sensei, Takumakai 4th dan, chief instructor of the Seattle Aiki Club. Our study group meets regularly in Irvine (CA), and we periodically travel to Seattle to receive instruction. For the time being, however, we meet online every Sunday at 11 am (PST).

What it Daito Ryu?
Daito-ryu is a fascinating exploration into philosophy and movement, conflict, and resolution. This art form is as much about the mind as it is about the body. The challenging of oneself to go beyond preconceived notions honors not only the history but also the practice of what makes this a Martial Art.
